Vendor Application
The North Mississippi Hummingbird Festival is looking for unique, high-quality handmade vendors to join us for the first North Mississippi Hummingbird Festival, an event celebrating one of nature’s most magical migrations on Saturday, September 13 from 8:00am-2:00pm.
Selection Process:
Applications are reviewed by a panel of jurors selected by the North Mississippi Hummingbird Foundation. Selection is made based on the quality of work and diversity of the show. Jurors will make their selection based entirely on pictures submitted and the description of your work on the application. Current quality images that show your work & booth to their fullest potential are encouraged. Images must be representative of the works that will be shown at our festival.
Types of vendors that are excluded / ineligible are vendors of commercially manufactured items, mass-produced items, and live animals. The selection committee has the right to decline an application if you sell something that doesn’t fit into the categories they are searching for.
Festival Fee:
A payment link will be sent along with an invitation to participate.
Single Booth - $40
Double Booth – $75
Note: The North Mississippi Hummingbird Festival is a rain or shine event. An accepted application is a commitment to show, and no refund will be made for cancellations.
Booth Requirements:
10x10 solid white tent
The artist is responsible for all items needed to set up the booth, including the tent, tables, chairs, etc.
No generators are allowed.
Sales Tax:
Each vendor is responsible for collecting Mississippi State Sales tax (7%) as required by law. We will provide the tax envelopes and sales tax will be collected 30 minutes before the show is over. Sales tax has to be turned in so that DeSoto County receives the credit for the North Mississippi Hummingbird Festival permit.
APPLICATION PROCESS:
– Submit the application below. You will be notified within 48 hours if your application has been accepted, rejected, or waitlisted.
– An application will not be complete without paying the $25 application fee.
Limited spots are available! Once we reach maximum capacity, we will not accept any more applications.
